Welcome
I am a final year Ph.D. student in Management Science/ Operations Research at The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. My research advisors are René Caldentey and Rad Niazadeh.
I study the interplay of operations, economics, and computer science, applying a mathematical lens to real-world platform challenges. I am fundamentally driven by the operational frictions of the modern gig economy: how can platforms run highly scalable, automated algorithms while simultaneously managing the complex incentives of a decentralized, independent workforce? To resolve this tension, my Ph.D. research tackles the challenges arising from this tight coupling of operations and incentives, exploring new paradigms in online resource allocation, marketplace matching, and platform market design.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Before joining Booth, I did a master’s in Finance & Economics at London School of Economics, UK.
